Now, it&#8217;s been so thoroughly trashed the thought is anathema. <a href=\"http:\/\/productblog.37signals.com\/products\/2011\/01\/well-be-retiring-our-support-of-openid-on-may-1.html\" target=\"_self\">37signals on dropping support for OpenID<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>We&#8217;re sad to see OpenID go. The promise was grand. Life would be simpler if we only had one login, but in this case, the cure was worse than the disease.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>I was one of the people who used OpenID at 37signals to support multiple accounts. Now that single sign-on is handled by 37signals ID, I guess I can retire it.
