Despite a grueling double connection flight departing Pittsburgh at 5:20 AM, we’re seconding Zeldman’s recommendation to arrive at SXSW a day early. The registration line was, as he promised, a five-minute affair, walking the streets and grabbing dinner was calm, and for the entire evening we didn’t check in anywhere, preferring to relax with a few new friends at a rented house across the river from downtown Austin.
