Hacker News Reader provides a glimpse of cutting-edge but already viable front-end web technologies. Michael Mahemoff packages up HTML5, CoffeeScript, Less, and a few other toys to drop an app into the Chrome Web Store.

I can personally vouch for Less. The Mac compiler (LESS.app) makes using it a cinch on any project.
